Show three wood blocks labeled A, B & C, along with a square tube.

Block A is removed and put inside a hat. The remaining two blocks are covered with the tube.

Ask the kids "Now where is Block A?" Of course they say "In the Hat."

They are correct (this time)!

You lift the tube showing the position of Blocks B & C. Block

A is placed on top of B & C, then covered with the Tube.

You ask "Where is Block B? Whatever they say is WRONG!


You lift the Tube and Block B has VANISHED! Reach into your hat and remove Block B!

Bellboy Version

Notice a card holder at his feet and one near the BellBoys hands to hold cards. The holders each hold a deck of cards, and cut-out fronts enable the audience to see what is inside. From a shuffled, examined deck of cards spectators freely select one or more cards.

Cards are noted, and shuffled back into the pack & put in holder at the bottom..

The cards are now taken from the holder at the bottom, passed one at a time slowly in front of the Bellboy's eyes, and placed in the holder on top.

The spectators are asked to call "Stop" whenever they like.

When they call stop, the card stopped at is turned around to show the face.

It is one of the selected cards! This is repeated for the other selected cards.

NO Forcing, NO Palming or NO Switching!

Spectators can stop you anytime

Selected cards can by signed. They are the very same cards selected.

Audience Thinks They Know? 

The performer offers to teach his audience how to vanish an Elephant ! He displays a draped tray, a picture of an Elephant, and two boards to "cage" the elephant. He now turns his back to the audience, and performs the effect for an imaginary audience in front of him, while the real audience has a backstage view of the working.

The two boards are placed on the tray. The Elephant Card is displayed, and dropped between the two cards.

The Cards are then removed, and freely displayed on both sides, to show the Elephant has vanished. The real audience however, has seen how the effect is accomplished, because they have seen the Elephant Card drop through a slot in the tray into a ribbon harness under the tray. The Elephant is not visible from the front, being concealed by the drape.



After some remarks to the effect that when performed with a real Elephant one would require, a much larger trap on the stage than the slot in the tray, and a much stronger harness, the performer offers to repeat the effect, this time with the real audience to the front.



The two boards are again placed on the tray, and the Elephant drops between them. The boards are removed and freely displayed on both sides. The Elephant has vanished. The performer explains that there may be a few wise people in the audience who, may figure out that the Elephant is behind the drape.

As he says this, he turns the tray around, so that the audience sees the, Elephant hanging in the ribbon harness behind the drape.



If this happens, the performer continues, he has no recourse, except to use some "real magic". The tray is turned, drape side again facing audience. The performer gestures dramatically to make the Elephant vanish, then peels away the drape to show the elephant has indeed vanished. Both the drape and tray are freely shown all sides, with no trace of the elephant.

Close-Up or Surrounded Mechanical Masterpiece!


This apparatus consists of a cabinet 10 inches by 5 inches square, just bouncing with decoration. The cabinet is open at the top, front, and rear, and may even be examined.

A spectator inflates a balloon and it is placed in the cabinet. The performer smashes it with the block of wood, and claims a RABBIT WILL APPEAR IN THE BALLOON!! Nothing has apparently happened. He then reaches into the cabinet and brings out a flat rabbit. Try it again. This time as the balloon breaks, a live dove appears, a if it was INSIDE THE BALLOON. This may be a visible change and, don’t forget, the cabinet was examined. Work it on any table or even in your hands.

Scores of effects are possible. Balloon to Silk --- Balloon to Candy or Glass of Liquid --- or anything else that is about the size of the cabinet. Operate everything close-up and surrounded. Entirely mechanical. No hanging bags. This method is a new idea!!

Monte with a Convict! 

A beautiful set of four pictures, one of a prisoner, the other three of empty jail cells, silk screened in four vivid colors on durable white cardboard stock measuring 9" x 14" is shown to the audience. A story is told how this prisoner was one of the hardest men to keep in jail.


One of the empty jail cells is placed aside, and a game is begun with the children to see if they can keep track of the prisoner. Although you have three cards left in your hand, no matter which card the audience selects as the "prisoner" card it will be of an empty jail cell. Even as the cards are eliminated one by one the audience will not be able to find the prisoner.


Finally the prisoner is shown to be secured behind bars on the first card that was removed even though the card was placed in a large envelope which remained in full sight of the audience.

Hippity Hops from Space! 

You've heard of cosmonauts, and astronauts, but have you ever heard of BUNNY-NAUTS? That's right I said BUNNY-NAUTS. At this point two rocket ships are introduced to your audience. You tell a story that before the Russians were sending cosmonauts, and the Americans were sending astronauts, into outer space, we magicians were sending BUNNY-NAUTS.

Both rocket ships are opened to show their passenger, which is a cute BUNNY-NAUT, that's a bunny dressed in a space suit, a black one and a white one. The children are told that both bunnies are going to be sent into space. Both bunnies are put back into the space ships, and you and the kids count backwards from ten just like they do at Cape Kennedy, in Florida.

But wait you've said "BLAST-OFF" and the bunnies haven't been launched into space. They have changed places instead. The black bunny is in the white rocket ship and the white bunny is in the black rocket ship. This switch can be made as many times as you wish, however the audience will be howling that all you did was turn the bunnies around.

The white bunny is picked up and turned upside down as you say, "All right I'll turn him around!" All the 'turn around' gags are done when finally you say to your audience, "This bunny really didn't go to space." "He chickened out and turned YELLOW." As you say this you turn the BUNNY-NAUT around to show that he is indeed yellow. The other BUNNY-NAUT is also turned around. While doing this you tell the kids, "This BUNNY-NAUT went into space but his face turned RED from embarrassment because he forgot his underwear." Of course when the BUNNY-NAUT is turned around he is a bright RED.

This effect is made from the finest birch woods and tempered hardwood for durability. All the rockets and BUNNY-NAUTS are beautifully silk-screened. Both rockets stand 12 inches high and can be seen by all in the audience.

A Laugh Riot Super Mystery 

A laugh riot, an amazing mystery, a cleverly constructed prop. An automatic baking a cake in a hat routine.

A hat is borrowed and a baking pan is displayed. You test to see if the pan will fit inside of the hat.

The pan is now passed to the audience for examination.

As the magician is pattering about baking a cake in a hat he has apparently forgotten that the pan is out among the audience. The forgetful magician starts to pour flour, baking soda, and salt into the hat. He then adds milk and eggs and finishes by starting a fire in the hat!!

There it is blazing away when suddenly the magician realizes that he has forgotten the pan.

He grabs the pan and slaps it into the hat to put out the fire. He then tells the audience they should have let him know sooner. The hat must be an awful mess now, but incredible as it seems, when the hat is turned over and the pan removed there is a delicious cake inside of the pan!

The hat is returned to the owner UNHARMED, AS GOOD AS NEW.
